As an integration engineer, you will join our global, diverse Cloud Software and Services Team. A team which provides industry-leading solutions for Core Networks and Automation, Managed Services, Services Orchestration and Telecom BSS. A team which enables communications service providers to succeed in their transition to cloud-native software and automated operations as they prepare their networks for the future.

Role Summary:

This is a technical role in which (PACO) will interface with regional domain specialists, Integration Engineer will provide in-depth, experienced level support and advise the Regional EP /Proposal team in Packet Core domain. Working closely with regional counterparts in customer Solution Designing, High Level Design/ Low Level Design based on the requirements and Installation, Integration, configuration of SGSN-MME/EPG/WMG/SAPC, impacting and developing your craft.

A Day in the Life of Packet Core Integration Engineer and key role objectives:

• Participate in customer projects, including the definition, management, and verification of solutions, analyzing the customer's processes, organization, and requirements.
• Support to prepare technical documents (Method of procedure, Migration study, and testing documentation).
• Secure the technical functionality and quality of deliveries.

• Share competence and knowledge with development teams as knowledge sharing.
• Coordinate and support the configuration/development and Integration Team where required.
• Hands-On for Trouble-Shooting and problem-solving for development, installation, configuration, integration, testing, and launch activities.

To be successful in the role, you need to:

• To have a business level of English B2/C1 or equivalent.
• Bachelor or MSc of Engineering or related field qualification.
• Preferably 3 years of experience in Packet CORE node.
• Ability to demonstrate or have experience working with teams locally and globally.

Technical specification & experience:

• Good understanding and experience on 3GPP standards and PS Core protocols.

• Product knowledge such as Cisco/Huawei/Ericsson SPG and MME latest versions
• Hands on experience at Ericsson Packet Core Elements (SGSN/MME/GGSN)
• Knowledge of VOLTE/IMS related configuration in MME/GGSN.
• Configuration knowledge of creation of OSPF, IP pool addition, OCS/DRA/PCRF definition, LAC Barring, CSFB, SRVCC, APN creation, BSC/RNC migration, TAI-DB management.
• Knowledge of minimum 2 vendors, such as Cisco, Huawei.

• Sound level domain knowledge around 2G, 3G & LTE.
• Understanding of SS7 network, GPRS call flow, 3G call flow, EPC/LTE/volte call flows and RF network of GPRS.
• Understanding of Gb, Gr, Gi, Gn, IUPS, Gx, Gy, Gz, S1, S6a, S11, SGs, S10, Gi configuration & integration.
• Understanding of Deep Packet Inspection configurations.
• Should be well versed with important PACO related KPIs, their analysis & improvement plans.

• Good understanding of Service Awareness and differentiated charging related concepts.
• Knowledge of Latest Paco Nodes/Technologies, such as CUPS ,F5,Cloud.
• Knowledge of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes
