The Opportunity

Support the development of healthy snack portfolio in Mexico through innovation projects, business continuity plan, productivity, portfolio transformation and brand stewardship. The main objective of this role is to coordinate projects through internal tools including idea generation, co-creation, bench top design and product development to satisfy consumer needs with innovative and consumer-centric products, coordinating and supporting scale up trials in pilot and industrial plants. Also, this position will interact with R&D Regional and Global teams, Nutrition, Operations, Marketing, Sales, Finance as well as vendors and other functional staff.

Responsibilities

Your Impact

As R&D Product Development Jr your functions would consist of

• Perform laboratory and pilot plant prototyping, experimental reports, ingredients screening, consumer and sensory trials coordination and support logistics for scale up at PepsiCo's Plants for Business Continuity Plan, Productivity, Portfolio Transformation and Brand Stewardship projects.
• Ensure adherence to all regulatory, legal and company standards (includes Nutritional Requirement, Sustainability, Food Safety, etc), external and local framework.
• Ensure and align cost impact Initiatives' working in close collaboration with Procurement, Marketing, Sales, Finance as well as vendors.
• Oversee the end-to-end spec writing process including supplier technical questionnaire collection, ingredient testing, spec quality parameter validation, supplier alignment, and workflow tracking
• Support R&D Team in attaining short term and long term goals.
• Work closely with R&D Regional and Global teams, Nutrition, Operations, Marketing, Sales, Finance as well as vendors and other functional staff.
• Provide first line support to manufacturing team, respond to contingencies by ensuring accurate technical analysis to enable short term solution for business continuity.

Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For?

1. Education

BA/BS in Food Science or related discipline

1. Experience

Professional Experience: At least 6 months experience in the food industry and/or R&D field.

Strong communication skills ( oral and written)

Result- oriented, collaboration across boundaries and positive outlook

Self Driven, analytical problem- solving

Travel National and International availability

Languages : Fluency English essential
