The ServiceNow Administrator/Developer provides a deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and team members to build solutions in ServiceNow that support business needs. This includes development, configuration, and customizations including, but not limited to, screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data migrations, LDAP integration, custom scripting, and third-party software integrations.

The ServiceNow Administrator/Developer provides a deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and team members to build solutions in ServiceNow that support business needs. This includes development, configuration, and customizations including, but not limited to, screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data migrations, LDAP integration, custom scripting, and third-party software integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under general direction, independently develops, maintains, and extends a stable production, development and testing middleware infrastructure while extending the functionality and enabling developers to use it via mentoring and formal training.
- Build ServiceNow Reports, dashboards, and homepage.
- Develop clear and concise technical & process documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to look for ways to continuously improve our enterprise platform related processes.
- Work with team members, internal customers, and external vendors to design, configure, test, document, and deploy system changes to the environment.
- Understand new ServiceNow features and unused module functionality to drive platform expansion and adoption.
- Provide technical insight in designing and supporting ServiceNow while aligning to Service Management standard methodologies.
- Gather specifications from service owners, document requirements, and deliver product releases to meet business needs.
- Build workflows from service owner requirements including requests, request items and tasks
- Design and build integrations and process automation using ServiceNow Orchestration.
- Software Asset Management experience in context of the ServiceNow platform.
- Be the primary resource for ensuring system health.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of ServiceNow development, configuration, and administration experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in related field and/or 5+ years of experience in IT Operations.
- Expertise with development in ServiceNow environments (JavaScript, XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, JSON).
- Experience with PowerShell, SaaS applications, network operations (networks, protocols, and email [SMTP, POP3]).
- Strong knowledge of ITIL methodologies, ITSM concepts, enterprise IT architecture, relational databases.
- Prior experience with Professional Service Delivery, Managed Services, and/or Service Portal.
- Solid understanding of the application development lifecycle process, including requirement analysis, quality assurance, design, scheduling, implementation, issue tracking, version control and deployment.
- Advanced in JavaScript development in ServiceNow components.
- Create and configure on many aspects of Service-Now including but not limited to:
- Business rules
- Glide records
- UI policies
- UI actions
- Script includes
- Client scripts
- ACLs
- Develop, configure, and improve core and custom applications and work directly with end users to resolve support issues.
- Web service proficiency (REST) as well as XML and JSON knowledge.
- ServiceNow expertise in CSM product.
- Solid grasp of ServiceNow or an equivalent ITSM toolset.
- Implementation experience with modules including CSM, CMBD, and ITSM
