Job Description
Main responsibility: Project Management within Purchasing for PS-EC focusing on Engine Control Modules, making sure achievement of quality, cost and delivery targets, main focus in the Cost reduction implementation.
You are the purchasing representative in the product development process and cross-functional SE-teams.
As Purchasing Project Manager, you are responsible for the management of cost saving activities for procured parts as member of a cross-functional team (RPP).
You accompany the change management for procured parts (ECR) and interface to material field and quality purchasing within the purchasing organization.
Owner in the development of supplier strategies in the different regions, China, Europe and North America for XC projects
Reliable implementation: Coordination of electronic/ mechanicals components from acquisition phase via sourcing process up to successful introduction into mass production, cost reductions for electronic and mechanical components.
Experience cooperation: Interface for electronic components to product engineering and development, material field purchasing, technical service centers and quality teams.
Networked communication: Purchasing representative in simultaneous engineering teams in an international environment.
Help shape the future: Initiate and coordinate concept competitions for electronic/ mechanicals components and contribute to supplier selection.
Working Practice: results orientation, initiative, reliable and team-oriented, ability to lead cross-function teams, good skills to efficiently develop a network in a complex organization and ability to discuss costs.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Engineering or business economics
3~5 years of relevant professional experience in positions within the automotive industry, ideally professional experience with technical project management; experience in project purchasing and/or supplier quality assurance preferred; ideally experience in plastic molding, metal forming (stamping, machining, cold-forging) and Electronic components is desired; solid understanding of cost drivers for these material fields.
Preferred:
Knowledge of MS-Office applications; SAP experience
English Level 80~95%
International travel Availability 15 ~ 20%
