This is a Front-end/UI developer and position on the IT team. You will work closely with the development team supporting internal enterprise websites and applications. This role requires creativity, agility, and the ability to adapt and perform. We are seeking an experienced web developer to build, enhance, and maintain web applications. You will meet with business stakeholders to gather information on their problems and inefficiencies, define front-end/UI requirements, create wireframes or prototypes, and develop the solution alongside the development team.

What you'll do in this role:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, the project manager, and the development team to gather and refine requirements
• You will manage the the UI and front-end code of the team's application portfolio, including custom websites/apps for R&D teams, Sales teams, and the company intranet
• Develop front-end experiences in collaboration with the development team
• Use modern front-end/UI best practices such as responsive design, PWA, accessibility standards, and reusable components
• Develop custom components to be reused throughout an application, creating a consistent experience for end-users and ease of maintenance for fellow developers
• Write logic to accommodate the front-end experience; e.g. the logic behind an autocomplete that filters and sorts a list based on user input, the logic to fetch and show certain data on user interactions, etc.
• Work in an Agile development environment
• Solve UI and front-end issues on existing applications
• Create sites and apps that are more efficient, responsive, accessible, and effective - allowing users to accomplish more in less time, be more informed, and have a straightforward and consistent experience

What you'll need to be successful:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar area of study with a minimum of 4 year's experience in development
• Developer skills in:
  • HTML
  • CSS / SCSS
  • Javascript / Typescript
  • Front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue
  • Git
• Competence in UI design
• Creativity and an eye for good design and layout
• The ability to manage multiple projects and budget your time
• Be a team player on an Agile development team
• Entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to try new ideas

Bonus skills:

• Competence in Angular Material
• Competence creating mockups in Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, or similar
• Background in UX design
• Familiarity with the Google Material Design guidelines
• Familiarity with Electron and Ionic
• Familiarity with Python
• Familiarity with SQL for creating live infographics in Google Data Studio
