Purpose of Position:
We are looking for a tech-savvy and personable Fleet Specialist to join a global engineering and manufacturing leader. This is a critical role in developing and implementing software products that improve our clients' fleet operations. This position aims to ensure MineOperate products are installed, configured, and operating up to the highest standards for customer satisfaction, serving as a tech lead/expert on the matter to expedite system solutions to both Regional Services and Support (S&S) and Product Development teams.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
• Develop, test, and deploy applications using industry-standard tools and technologies.
• Test and debug software products to ensure they meet customer needs and are bug-free.
• Provide technical support and assistance to customers to ensure they are satisfied with our products.
• Serve as a technical lead contributing to and directing the efforts of improvements to the system to accommodate customer requests.
• Determine root cause for system issues and provide practical, efficient, and temporary technical solutions while providing all the technical details to PD team to resolve the problem permanently.
• Remain current on new releases and features available and provide feedback to regional S&S team as needed.
• Identify gaps on skills and/or knowledge on regional S&S teams to identify possible advice, coaching and training opportunities.
• Develop and update training materials to upskill regional S&S teams.
• Determine process improvements, best practices on system deployments, and develop new escalation processes.
• Work in close partnership with regional S&S leaders and engineers as well as PD leaders and developers.
Knowledge & Experience Required:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of programming experience, and 1 year of relevant experience
• Proficient in programming languages such as C, Objective-C, Ruby, ReactJS, TypeScript
• Proficient in transactional database development, PL/pgSQL, T-SQL, etc
• Knowledge of design patterns and implementation of large, distributed information systems.
• Ability to provide in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and math skills.
• Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong sense of urgency and deadline driven.
• Knowledge of fleet management software is a plus.

• 20% travel
