Position Summary:
This position is within HARMAN's automotive business and is responsible for all day-to-day HW validation infrastructure activities for globally developed audio products. This position will report to the Tools & Test Rack Manager for Tools & Test Racks (Product Reliability).
Job Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the development of test strategy/interface tools for Harman audio products including AHU, Displays, telematics, amplifiers, loudspeaker and microphones. The position will work closely with the HW Validation & Certification Global teams and Engineering to ensure test and interface tools that fully validate our products.

Job Responsibilities:

- Develop and release algorithms for testing AHU, Displays, telematics, amplifiers, loudspeaker and microphones.
- Develop and release automated solutions to improve efficiencies of the Validation & Certification global organization.
- Develops test strategies and plans in accordance with business and product requirements.
- Develop innovative ways to expose and test automotive audio components.
- Creates automated test scripts using common scripting languages.
- Identifies and implements cost-effective testing solutions.
- Records, processes, and analyzes data with PC based tools and test instrumentation.
- Provides technical support for the resolution of various customer and interdepartmental issues on an as needed basis.
- Performs setup of modules/wiring and maintains test benches and test vehicles appropriately.
- Designs, documents and facilitates the assembly of test racks utilizing commercial off-the-shelf equipment and internally-designed components, where needed.
- Seeks simple, cost effective global solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3-5 years in a product engineering or test strategy development role, preferably in automotive infotainment or consumer electronics.
- 2 years creating HW validation test scripts.
- 2 years hardware-in-the-loop / parametric development and usage.
- Demonstrated electronic knowledge
- Electrical diagrams understanding
- Experience with audio analysis & RF knowledge.
- Demonstrated experience functioning in a highly collaborative, demanding, and fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of other structured languages (C++, ANSI C, LabView, TestStand)
- Vehicle networking experience (CAN, MOST, ETH).
- Automotive audio experience (Analog, digital - A2B)
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative problem-solver capable of creating and reproducing software bugs.
- Dedicated performer with the ability to advocate appropriately for product quality.
- Relentless learner with a dedication to learn new technologies and test methods.
- Capable project management and time management skills.
- Bug tracking tools (JIRA, etc.,).
- Configuration Management tools (Perforce, GIT, etc.,).
- Office productivity software.
- Bachelor of Science of Electrical / Mechatronic Engineering.
