What you will be doing:
The Senior Software Engineer position requires experience in desktop and commercial web application development in n-tiered environments using .NET/.NET Core, SQL, and IIS. Candidate must be willing to learn new technologies and make recommendations for future product development, security, delivery and scalability.
Candidates will have worked effectively in a Scrum environment; providing leadership/coaching to the team resulting in strengthening the team and improving productivity and product quality. Candidates will be proficient in C# .NET development of Windows Desktop applications and have adopted agile development methodologies and heuristics. Candidate will have a well-rounded software development background including being well versed in quality assurance along with application design and development. Candidate will be equally satisfied working on business critical legacy application code/problems as with ground up developments.
Candidates will have a demonstrated history of understanding the problem space, assessing risks, overcoming and removing impediments, and getting things done. Achieving/maximizing simplicity though design and refactoring will also be skills the team will be looking for in the successful Candidate.
In addition to technical proficiency, strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, as this person will work in a highly collaborative environment. As part of a development team, the Sr. Software Engineer will interact with multiple groups throughout the organization and participate in continual investigation of process improvement strategies.
Working conditions include normal office environment with heavy computer use. Candidates must be able to sit for long periods at a time. Some extended hours or weekend work may be required along with some travel.

What you will need to be successful
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5-7+ years experience developing Windows applications using C# and .NET in WinForms development
- Working knowledge of object-oriented programming and design
- Proficient in database schema design, writing SQL queries, functions and stored procs
- A good understanding of Dependency Injection, IoC containers, and unit testing with mocks.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as TeamCity or Jenkins
- Experience using HTML and JavaScript for graphical user interface design
- Experience using DevTools is a strong plus
- Interest in collaborative development and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
