Purpose Statement: A software developer is responsible for the development, design and implementation of new or modified software products for ongoing business projects.

Software Developer will be involved in liaising with the Architects, Analysts and Development / Project Managers to ensure software projects meet requirements.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Work closely with Architects, Systems Administrators, Business Analysts, Software Designers, UX Designers, and other Software Developers in conceptualizing and developing new or modifying existing software applications.
• Research, design, write, unit test and implement efficient code for new or existing software applications ensuring software meets business requirements and operational practicality.
• Prepare and maintain documentation: In accordance with Plexus standards, prepare documentation required by the Project Life Cycle (PLC) process. This documentation may include but is not limited to design documents and unit test documents.
• Manage and successfully deliver moderate to high complexity efforts. Apply broad knowledge to identify and resolve core problems.

Additional Accountabilities:

• Create detailed UML diagrams to demonstrate desired functionality (as needed), participate in design reviews and walkthroughs to document customer needs and expectations, and perform thorough unit testing, supporting through deployment.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that solutions support Plexus and customer policies surrounding key controls and compliance, such as SOX, ITAR, EAR, FDA, and others as appropriate by properly specifying these needs as part of the overall delivery of requirements.
• Focus on continuous improvement: Personal, the team, and processes. Develop, discuss and adapt to those enhancements and changes.
• Technical Competency: Maintain and introduce technical skills and conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts, which will position Plexus for the future.
• Perform Level 4 support as needed to resolve incidents in a timely manner, conduct root cause analysis and identify permanent solution to recurring problems.
• Actively participate in and sometimes lead Development User Groups and similar meetings by sharing common problems and solutions across multiple sites/regions and providing user request updates.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.
• 4-7 years of related experience is required.
• Certifications for focus area(s) achieved or expected within role
• Agile and Lean Six Sigma certifications are desirable
• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
• Experience in computing systems is highly desirable
  • JDE / DSI
  • .NET / C# - Design and setup development framework with n-tier environment (C#/.NET).
  • Others: IoT, Python, Machine Learning, and Big Data analysis would be an added advantage
  • User Interface (UI) / User Design (UX )
