This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment.

Summary:

Aptiv is seeking Senior Embedded Software Development experts for its User experience and Safety products. Our embedded engineers and experts design, develop, and validate automotive electronic control systems, following Automotive SPICE (Software Performance Improvement and Capability dEtermination) compliance processes, to enhance vehicle safety and user experience. You will be working with team of highly motivated software developers on various automotive technologies that enhance driver experience, have the power to prevent accidents and save lives.

Responsibilities:

• Design, code, and test real-time embedded systems with first time quality
• Triage issues reported by internal and external stakeholders
• Responsible for the component software architecture, as assigned
• Responsible for the design and quality of the software developed by the component teams
• Mentor and work closely with component team to ensure quality software development
• Collaborate with cross regional team members to achieve program objectives
• Collaborate with team members on component interfaces and dependencies
• Ensure component software meets Automotive SPICE and Functional Safety compliance

Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, or related field of study)
• 5+ years of experience with embedded software in Automotive Industry or Consumer Electronics
• Bilingual - proficient in English speaking/reading/writing
• Interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a positive approach to challenge
• Cross functional interests, ambitious and self-driven. Adaptive, comfortable with ambiguity
• Ability to effectively manage several projects at once
• Strong soft skills: skilled networking creation, influencing skills, constantly learning, positive and ownership profile
• Experience with Embedded C on microcontroller architectures
• Product development process knowledge
• Experience with static and dynamic analysis, and unit testing
• Hands on experience in Autosar methodologies and workflows

Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):

• Master's degree in engineering discipline (electrical, systems, computer science, software, computer science)
• Experience in realizing ISO26262 Technical Safety Concepts - RAM test, ROM test, Lock step, CPU test, MPU, OS configurations for multicore architectures would be big plus
• Experience in RTE generation, make environments, multi-party SW integration
• Experience in Low power mode implementation, factory-test software
• Awareness on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) & Transport Layer Security (TLS)
