Linux Advisor Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Provide escalation support and technical guidance.
• Participate in problem identification, definition, and discussion of potential solutions.
• Technical troubleshooting and process maturity.
• Support the transition to automation-first practices (where feasible).
• Ensure ongoing patch cadence and compliance (30-day target).

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience
• Kubernetes expertise sufficient to hold meaningful technical conversations with Kubernetes Engineering teams.
• Background in OpenShift operations and/or GitOps workflows.
• Experience leading a team or mentoring junior engineers.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate problem statements and potential solutions.
• Comfort with both OpenShift (automated, DevOps-style) and OpenStack (manual, Linux-heavy) patching models.
• Hands-on experience with patching, cluster maintenance, and some understanding of platform security.
