Sr. MANUFACTURING ENGINEER (MACHINING)

General Description

Responsible for the continuous improvement of the plant's manufacturing processes, he develops and documents new processes, develops and documents necessary tools for the process, creates process FMEAs, supports the production team, and leads high-performance teams. He serves as a machining process leader.

Main Responsabilities

1. Leads pilot runs for PPAP documentation (prototypes).

2. Designs, implements, and controls various tools and equipment for the manufacturing process.

3. Documents manufacturing processes.

4. Provides customer service and response to complaints or quality issues.

5. Creates and reviews FMEAs.

6. Analyzes cell capacity.

7. Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Continuous Improvement projects for TIBs.

8. Proposes engineering changes.

9. Document control.

10. Prepares production reports (standards), utilization, efficiencies, etc.

11. Reorganization and standardization of manufacturing cells, applying knowledge of industrial engineering and safety.

12. Generation of CNC, honing, and grinding programs, as well as other programs required for general machining processes for turned parts, blocks, etc.

13. Commissioning of division equipment (CNC, honing machines, grinders, lathes, test benches, and everything required for a machining, assembly, and product testing environment).

14. Administration of Safety GenSuite (ensuring the closure of safety findings and ensuring that actions eliminate the risk).

15. Development of layer audits to ensure the proper functioning of existing systems (quality, safety, etc.).
