Welding Engineer

General Description

Welding Engineer. They are mainly responsible for analyzing the methods and sequence in manual and semi-automatic welding operations ensuring high levels of quality, productivity, efficiency and cost reduction. The Welding Engineer must ensure welding requirements are properly deployed and complied in the production area.

Qualifications

Advance Knowledge experience in industry codes (AWS, ASME, API)

Advance Experience in welder and process qualification (WPS, WPQ).

General knowledge of safety and environmental regulations

General knowledge of ISO/TS/AS9100 quality systems.

General knowledge of pre-weld chemical cleaning processes and post-weld non-destructive testing (Visual, Liquid Penetrant and X-Ray).

General knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma.

Project Management and Administration

GD&T and interpretation Draw (CAD / Catia Softwares)

Skills

• At least 3 years of experience as a welding process engineer working under industry codes/standards, preferably TIG welding and materials such as stainless steel and Inconel.
