Develop and maintain CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining centers.
Select appropriate tools, cutting conditions, and workholding strategies for each job.
Optimize toolpaths for efficiency, accuracy, surface finish, and tool life.
Support shop floor teams during setup, first article runs, and troubleshooting.
Interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D CAD models using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, NX, or similar).
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and tooling departments to ensure manufacturing feasibility and compliance.
Support documentation of setups, process sheets, and change control.
Required Qualifications:
Technical degree or diploma in CNC programming, manufacturing, or mechanical technology.
3+ years of experience programming CNC machines in a precision machining environment.
Strong understanding of G-code, toolpaths, cutting conditions, and machining strategy.
Experience with aerospace components, tight tolerances, and hard materials (e.g., Inconel, titanium, stainless steel).
Ability to read technical drawings and apply GD&T.
Hands-on experience supporting machinists on the shop floor.
Bilingual in English and Spanish (professional working proficiency required).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in aerospace manufacturing or with AS9100/NADCAP standards.
Proficiency with CAM software such as Mastercam, NX, or CATIA.
Familiarity with post-processor customization and simulation tools.
Understanding of fixture design and interaction with tooling engineers.
