Job Opening: General Accountant – Automotive Industry

Location: San Nicolás de los Garza, N.L., Mexico

Schedule: Monday to Friday, full-time

Position Objective

To manage the company's accounting flow with accuracy, ensuring tax compliance, timely payments, bank reconciliations, industrial cost analysis, and budget control. This role provides reliable financial information to support decision-making in coordination with operational and administrative areas.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (degree required)
• Advanced English, both spoken and written (mandatory)
• Minimum 3 years of experience as General Accountant or Accounting Supervisor
• Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial companies
• Strong knowledge in:
• General and fiscal accounting
• Bank reconciliations
• Accounts payable and invoice validation
• Product or process cost analysis in an industrial environment
• Operational budgets and deviation tracking
• Physical inventory audits
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level)
• Experience using accounting systems such as Contpaqi, ERP platforms, or similar

Key Responsibilities

• Validate income, expenses, XML files, and bank transfers
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations (Excel vs bank statements)
• Prepare and monitor monthly budgets per engine model
• Calculate actual remanufacturing cost per unit
• Deliver financial reports and variance analysis
• Lead monthly physical inventory audits on-site
• Communicate accounting results to CPA based in the United States
• Coordinate monthly accounting closings
• Support fiscal, budgetary, and internal control activities

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Average days of accounts payable
• Average time to complete bank reconciliations
• Budget variance percentage (approved vs executed)
• Accuracy rate in monthly inventory audits
