Your Job
As a Design Engineer, Liaison, you will play a pivotal role in the creation and deployment of cutting-edge industrial products. You will be the engineering link between the product development team and the manufacturing facility, ensuring a seamless transition of new products from concept to production. Your expertise will drive the successful and timely launch of innovative solutions into production, tailored to meet the needs of diverse industrial sectors.
Our Team
You will join the Industrial Solutions Business Unit, a dynamic division dedicated to designing and manufacturing advanced solutions for plant electrical infrastructure, power products, and automation connectivity. Our team serves a broad range of markets, including Automotive Production, Food & Beverage, Material Handling, and heavy-duty applications. We collaborate with OEMs, distributors, line builders, machine integrators, and more, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
What You Will Do
- Lead the design and development of new electro-mechanical industrial products, focusing on custom solutions for diverse applications.
- Serve as the key engineering liaison, advocating for product designs and ensuring alignment with manufacturing capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth product launches and implement design improvements.
- Provide engineering support to resolve production issues and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Drive innovation by assisting in the development and testing of prototypes, aiming for continual product enhancement.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
- Proficiency in 3D and 2D CAD software such as Solidworks, NX, or Inventor.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish, facilitating effective communication across teams.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, especially in injection molding and metal stamping.
- Experience in product test procedure formulation and prototype development.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Previous experience in the connector industry, adding specialized insight into product design and functionality.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar MRP systems, enhancing your ability to manage resources effectively.
- Basic electrical knowledge with hands-on electro-mechanical product testing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong problem-solving skills.
- Injection molding expertise, contributing to the innovative design and production of components.
