The Opportunity
The Security Incident Response Lead will support the Security Vulnerability Remediation team within Global Compute.
The Lead will define, implement and lead global processes to respond to security incidents/emergency patching or mitigation activities that can be leveraged for servers, databases, storage, workstations, applications and network security incidents. The role will periodically brief IT Executive leadership on vulnerability remediation activity. The role will work closely with Information Security to understand security incidents and will lead remediation activities and report progress to IT stakeholders. The Lead will also oversee and support vulnerability remediation for Corporate Global Functions.

Your Impact.
As Manager, Security Incident Response your scope would consist of:
- Define, implement, and execute a security incident
- response framework with a bias toward impact prevention for the CTO organization that can be applied to infrastructure and applications
- Collaborate closely with Information Security, especially to understand risk and impact of potential or confirmed security incidents
- Lead the remediation of security incidents, mobilize infrastructure and application teams to engage in effective and rapid emergency remediation (i.e., creation of action plans, prioritization, follow ups until completion
- Brief IT Executive leadership on Vulnerability Remediation
- Leverage exceptional communication skills to communicate issues and progress to different levels of Ability to translate technical matters to non-technical terms as needed
- Lead server vulnerability remediation for Corporate Global Functions
- Understand vulnerabilities and threats, and propose short- and long-term remediation options when needed
- Coordinate with application and technical teams (e.g., Compute, Database) on vulnerability remediation under their scope
- Monitor the effectiveness of remediation efforts
- Ensure compliance with the Information Security Policy and internal controls
- Provide updates and reports to stakeholders
- Identify and pursue patching and automation improvements (e.g., mass license key activation, outstanding patch installation, reduction of manual activities)
- Lead projects for the Security Vulnerability Remediation team (e.g., implementation of patching tools, automation)
- Lead the design and implementation of best practices for server patching
- Support troubleshooting/incident, knowledge, change, problem and request management related to server patching activities
- Provide quality assurance of services and meet expectations
Qualifications
Who Are We Looking For?
Education
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Information Technology, Security Vulnerability Remediation, Cybersecurity or related field
Tech skills
- Experience leading or collaborating with multiple teams
- Experience in security incident response
- Experience with server and database management
- Experience with OS and database management
- Experience communicating with technical audience in high-availability critical environments
- Experience supporting complex technical solutions
Non tech skills
- Experience with endpoint management platforms preferred: BigFix, SCCM
- Scripting experience preferred (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash)
Competencies
- Agile/DevSecOps experience
- Innovation mindset with ability to bring best practices
- Analytical thinker, works well with abstract instructions and little supervision
- Collaborate and influence stakeholders from different teams
- Global networking skills
- Experience with supervising managed service providers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
