What's the role?

Main Responsibilities

• Perform updates in our maps and products based on spatial and non-spatial sources. This includes analyzing the data in our maps and representing the reality in the digitized databases following pre-defined procedures represented in the Documentation of processes, Product Specifications, Customer Requirements, etc.
• Analyze and interpret what source inputs indicate and compare them with the existing database to determine if an update is needed to the current database.
• For new map data found in sources, update the database using the appropriate code and tools by following our documented processes
• Perform quality checks on data input to test the validity of data. This is completed with the assistance of more experienced Spatial Data Analysts
• Participate in team meetings or agile ceremonies to discuss and share the status of the tasks, blockers, best practices & lessons learned.

Environment

Work is carried out according to specific instructions, procedures, and defined processes. Requires active supervision and coaching from manager/team leader or peers.

Who are you?

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (3 years college/polytechnic education) or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
• Good Computer skills with knowledge of MS Office suite
• Ability to learn new concepts in a self-paced setup (learning by reading or watching videos)
• Exposure to mapping technologies, software, and GIS concepts is very desirable
• Excellent orientation to details
• Good analytical and logical skills
• Ability to read, write & understand instructions in English
• Ability to hold a basic conversation in English
• Good team player
• Willingness to work in shifts
