Eaton's IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Tooling Engineer Supervisor.
What you'll do:
Job Summary
The Tooling Engineer Supervisor is responsible to lead all tooling engineers. Lead the functions of product reviews, DFM, Tool design, manufacturing, validation, troubleshooting, assembly, modification and replacement of molds, dies and tooling, ensuring compliance with product and process specifications, maximizing efficiency in the use of resources and favorably impacting operation indicators such as they are Quality, Service and Cost.
Job Responsibilities
• Lead tooling engineers in RFQ for plastic injection molds.
• Lead tooling engineers with documentations on transfer mold from other Eaton locations.
• Lead tooling engineers in DFM & Product reviews.
• Lead tooling engineers to work with overseas suppliers / tool shops tool design reviews & manufacturing.
• Lead tooling engineers to follow up on tool trials and part validation process.
• Lead tooling engineers to establish strategies / parameters for the use of team capabilities.
• Coordinate tool correction action for new and ongoing manufacturing issues (Root cause analysis).
• Lead tooling validations at production sites.
• Works with Product engineering & Quality Assurance personnel to ensure that parts produced from tooling are of acceptable quality.
• Lead tooling engineers to maintain an overall good summary and tracking of the project.
• Lead tooling engineers to support Engineering changes for current production tools.
• Support runs for the new molds with production team to ensure a successful release process.
• Lead tooling engineers to implement lessons learns.

Qualifications:
Education level required
Mechanical Engineering or related
Understanding mechanical drawings (GD&T Certification)
Years and area of experience required
2-4 Years of experience in a similar position
Skills:
Technical knowledge
Plastic injection mold design & manufacturing.
Experience with small & precise plastic part designs.
GD&T
Hot runner & Cold runner systems
Plastic product feasibilities
Mold flow analysis review
Fluent in English/Spanish
Cost Out projects experience
Solving Problem techniques (5 Why's, 8D's, etc.)
Project management
Solid Works, Mold design (Type class 101,102,103 & 104 according to SPI)
Soft skills
Experience in personnel management, ethics, learning agility, accountability
