Description:
Procurement of indirect and direct materials.
Responsibilities:
Purchase Order Release: process and Global inventory analysis of purchase orders placement and, direct or indirect material, created using an MRP system, in addition to the creation of purchase orders, from requisitions, manuals for local purchasing, performing plant services.
Purchase Order Tracking: Confirmation of delivery of purchase orders based on established dates, including bill of lading number information and MRP system updates
Quotation Process: Quotation of indirect materials, and/or RFQ process for Indirect Materials.
Logistics: implementation and monitoring of shipping routes (from suppliers) previously established by the company, and resolve in timely manner goods with any issues preventing them from being booked in.
Inventory Management:
Using various methods to proactively control and optimize inventory.
Work with suppliers to negotiate inventory holding agreements, proactively resolve over-inventory to improve days on hand and warehouse space occupation, by reviewing own Portfolio of items.
Follow the PFEP to ensure good material availability; Right Place, Right Time, Right Quantity
Action of MRP messages and track of team performance MRP messages to schedule goods in line with requirements
Risk Management:
Review teams shortage report regularly, work with suppliers to make material available on-time, escalate in good time, shortages which cannot be solved.
Review teams supplier performance, and work on those not meeting company expectations
