Environmental Manager - CAO
Objective
Ensure environmental legal compliance in Mexico's operations, ISO 14001 certification and comply with Environmental Sustainability Expectations of Motherson.
Responsibilities/Skills
- Comply and ensure compliance of PKC EHS Policy.
- Perform environmental legal gap analysis and develop action plan and monitor compliance by each location.
- Develop and implement environmental strategies and action plans, to ensure corporate sustainable development.
- Take the lead on sustainable procurement for all goods and services. Negotiate environmental service agreements and manage associated costs and revenues.
- Ensure environmental reports are delivered to the authorities within the timeframe specified.
- Implement environmental management systems to continually improve the impact of the organization on the environment
- Generate and review Environmental Kanban Cards to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation and renewable energy
- Perform site visits to carry out impact assessments to identify, assess and reduce an organization's environmental risks and financial costs
- Establish criteria for sustainability reporting as required by Motherson Group.
- Coordinate all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation and renewable energy.
- Participate on Sustainability Committees to assess on environmental technical data.
- Participate on EHS Internal and External Audits.
- Ensure organizational sustainability targets are met, developing plans and oversee their delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Comply with and ensure compliance with PKC Group's Environment, Health and Safety Policy and Energy Policy.
- Comply with the environmental, health, safety and energy requirements set forth in Federal, State and Municipal legislation and applicable regulations related to our activities and products to comply with the EMASS (Energy, Environment, Health and Safety) procedures inherent to their work position.
- Contribute to the effectiveness of the Energy, Environment, Health and Safety Management System, including the achievement of the EMASS Objectives and Goals.
Required Profile
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree on Chemical Engineering or another Environmental related field
- Master's Degree on Environmental Science preferably
- Five-years' experience on similar job position.
- ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
- English 70%
Skills/Knowledge Requirements
- Mexican Environmental Legislation knowledge.
- Good communication skills.
- Good problem-solving skills and knowhow of problem solving tools like, root cause analysis, 5-why analysis,
- Good analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Show initiative, to recognize emerging problems and proactively develop solutions.
