A Snapshot of Your Day

Under the leadership of the Global Head of Process & Tools for Project Entity, this role will collect, consolidate, administer, and deliver repeatable standard and customized reporting solutions utilizing standardized methods, BI tools for global and regional data. You will work alongside other analysts to support business stakeholders across a variety of departments in the preparation of meaningful reports.

The Business Analyst is also responsible for gathering requirements, to evaluating the project and communicating any blockers. The analyst acts as an integral team member supporting the Product Owner and helps the development team to understand the product well and discuss new ideas to create the Product Increment.

To succeed in this role, the Analyst should

• Have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.
• Be fluent in the use of data management applications.
• Collect, monitor, and report on KPI metrics and build and maintain department level scorecards.
• Generate conclusions that drive decision making.
• Understand the needs of the customer.
• Be adept a documenting As-Is and To-Be processes and documenting functional requirements.
• Successfully document and maintain documentation on dataflow, mappings & processes

The ideal candidate has a strong data and business intelligence aptitude, affinity for technology, and background partnering with product engineering teams.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Build and maintain operational day to day relationship with internal stakeholders with a key focus on timely data delivery, quality control & document procedures around production of accurate reporting.
• Review data quality, liaising with appropriate stakeholders to resolve any output/data mapping issues.
• Collect, refine, and prepare data for analytics and visualization by developing, designing and maintaining Tableau dashboards and data automation processes using Alteryx.
• Administration of end-to-end documentation/maintenance of all data streams & data distribution lists
• Produce ad-hoc reports as requested and within agreed timelines.
• Apply initiative to make suggestions contributing to overall analytics team effectiveness.
• Review the User Stories created by the Product Owner & Business and make sure that it meets the acceptance criteria. The BA must make sure that every business rule is covered, and the functionality of the User Story is proper.
• Anticipating and analyzing the needs of the customers to find solutions to address their problems.
• Organizing the Product Backlog based on the prioritization provided by the Product Owner & Business.
• Ensure Scrum boards are up to date with the latest functional designs, user acceptance criteria and any commentary/clarifications discussed during the daily standups or ad-hoc meetings.
• Building User Stories according to the requirements and making sure that they meet the acceptance criteria.
• Suggesting the requirements or improving them by working with the Product Owner and Stakeholders and understanding fully about the scope.
• During Backlog Grooming help the development team understand the requirements of the product and contribute to the development of training plan and curriculum for the Business users.

What You Bring

• Expert SQL Programming Skills (MS SQL Server/Oracle platforms).
• Strong knowledge of Agile Project Management software development principles.
• Proficiency in creating comprehensive business requirement and functional specification documentation.
• Knowledge of data warehouse concepts, data structures, and reporting.
• Understanding of Tableau dashboard, functions, features, and capabilities.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and metadata skills.
• Ability to translate business questions and requirements into reports, views, and BI query object.
• Bilingual in both English and Spanish.
