Job Title: Sewing Technician & Machine Operator

Location: Palín, Escuintla, Guatemala - On-Site

Schedule: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Overtime as needed)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Sewing Technician & Machine Operator to join our production team in Palín, Escuintla, Guatemala. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sewing processes, be proficient in operating various types of industrial sewing machines, and possess the ability to train and support other machine operators.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain different types of industrial sewing machines.
• Understand and execute all stages of the sewing and sample-making process.
• Interpret tech packs and apply pattern knowledge accurately.
• Train, guide, and support sewing operators on machine use and sewing techniques.
• Ensure quality standards and production timelines are consistently met.
• Collaborate with the production team to solve technical issues related to sewing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial sewing and machine operation.
• Ability to operate a wide range of sewing machines (e.g., overlock, flatbed, coverstitch).
• Strong understanding of garment construction, sample development, and tech packs.
• Experience training or supervising sewing staff is a strong plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality.
• Must be able to work onsite in Palín, Escuintla, Guatemala
• Willingness to work extended hours when required.
