Job Description
As a Senior Quality Engineer, your role will involve implementing and executing test plans for Turnitin's products throughout the software development lifecycle. Working within an Agile team, you will establish and uphold quality assurance standards, expand test case and automation coverage, publish test results, assist in bug triaging, define acceptance criteria for stories, and mentor fellow team members in quality engineering best practices.

Job Description
As a Senior Quality Engineer, your role will involve implementing and executing test plans for Turnitin's products throughout the software development lifecycle. Working within an Agile team, you will establish and uphold quality assurance standards, expand test case and automation coverage, publish test results, assist in bug triaging, define acceptance criteria for stories, and mentor fellow team members in quality engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with the team to establish quality assurance procedures, including test strategies, plans, cases, and assessments for your scrum team
- Participate in various testing activities, such as functional, regression, integration, and scale testing
- Work closely with your scrum team to provide in-process testing results during all project stages
- Create, execute, and maintain automated and manual tests
- Support development teams in enhancing unit and integration tests
- Analyze root causes of issues reported by users and identified through tests
- Investigate, document, triage, and track defects, as well as verify their fixes
- Participate in major code releases and code review processes
- Stay updated on new testing tools and strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related discipline, or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of quality assurance experience with cloud-based applications, large-scale web applications, or consumer-facing sites
- Experience testing applications across different browsers and devices
- Familiarity with front-end test automation best practices and tools, particularly Selenium WebDriver
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional Agile teams
- Expertise in JAVA programming and framework creation
- Integration of automated testing processes with tools like Jenkins and Bit Bucket
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience testing web services/APIs and automation of such tests
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proactive approach to work and adaptability to change
- High proficiency in English
