Meaningful Work From Day One
The Finance Analyst role will provide support and analytical insight, and will partner with Finance Managers to analyze business performance. As a critical finance business partner, the Finance Analyst will execute against organization-wide analytical priorities, promote a culture of analytics, and support our commercial management processes and systems. This person will report to a USAandC Finance Manager.
What You Can Expect
Promote a Culture of Finance and Analytics
- Collaborate across functions (finance, sales, marketing and operations) to align analytical efforts against business priorities.
- Perform analysis to formulate insights that drive action. Areas of analysis will be broad based and will include financial, distribution, velocity, consumer, customer, etc.
- With the manager’s oversight, conduct descriptive and predictive analysis both independently and collaboratively.
- Perform post-promotional analysis to evaluate program/spend effectiveness, ROI and deal level lift analysis.
- Ad hoc requests related to market/cluster, e.g. channel, distribution and account analytics, supporting the forecasting process and inputs for business reviews.
- Actively participate in rolling forecast and budget planning, with a focus on pricing.
Pricing and Margin Analysis
- Assist in all processes related to pricing and discounting, including validation of discounting, maintaining/updating price structures, resolving pricing errors, scan/coupon tracking, and invoice processing.
- Support the annual pricing guidance process, including seeking to understand the overall pricing environment/trends, leveraging insights to identify opportunities, and quantifying implemented pricing actions throughout the year.
- Partner with the National Account Managers (“NAM’s) to provide market pricing in advance of NAM’s customer meetings.
Supporting Commercial Management Processes and Systems
- Assist in the resource allocation process to ensure resources are efficiently allocated across the team.
- Ad hoc reporting and presentations support (MBR/QBR, New Item Presentations, etc.).
- Partner with FPandA to process monthly, quarterly and year-end financial close related requirements (come-in, journal entries, accrual backup, prepaids, etc.).
- Provide pricing to help complete the New Item Setup process.
- Provide supplemental MRM support beyond the Region SMS scope.
- Reconcile distributor investment funds and support sales manager oversight process
- Support Finance Manager in daily Finance department activities
What You Bring to the Table
- Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, statistics or engineering (preferable).
- Experience: Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years of business experience or equivalent experience.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Strong financial and analytical capabilities.
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, creativity, passion for problem-solving, and strong diagnostic skills in order to connect the dots and provide a thorough business analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, relationship building, and influencing skills with the ability to collaborate with partners across a broad organization (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance).
- Experience with utilizing various software/data sources for analysis (e.g. Microsoft Office, Google Applications, Tableau, SAP, etc.).
- Demonstrated professional maturity, business acumen, sound business judgment, and ability to provide advice to management based on objective and impartial analysis.
- A proactive self-starter.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team while putting the success of the group ahead of personal ambitions.
- Personal honesty and integrity: the ability to effectively handle confidential information.
What Makes You Unique
- Experience: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or mathematics.
- Commercial finance and pricing experience.
- Beverage alcohol or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry experience.
