JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Controller to oversee all accounting, finance, and tax activities of the ASF-K de Mexico foundry located in Sahagun, Mexico. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

· All accounting and financial reporting for the production and service companies, as well as for a related company, ensuring compliance with Mexican Financial Reporting Standards.

· Management, direction, and development of the Sahagun Finance Department's staff.

· Oversee and manage all tax activity, including all filings and reporting. Manage the VAT refund process and work with US Finance and the Corporate Tax Department on various issues.

· Ensure full tax compliance for the company and manage relationships with the SAT, IMSS, and other local taxing and government agencies.

· Provide support to the Controller and Operations Team and advise Senior Management, in order to improve the performance and profitability of the business.

· Provide required information and analysis to US Company management, including the ASF, Amsted Rail, and Amsted Industries Finance Teams.

· Assist with the annual planning process, the monthly estimate process, and the quarterly forecast process.

· Ensure US Sarbanes Oxley compliances and assist Controller with required quarterly disclosure documents.

· Manage and maintain the internal controls and address any segregation of duties issues as they arise.

· Assist with the annual statutory audit and maintain the relationship with the public accounting firm.

· Assist Controller with the oversight of the Risk Management functions for the location.

· Oversee other finance and accounting activities including the following:

· Knowledge of Maquila Taxes Returns,

· Knowledge of IMMEX Maquila Program

Requirements

· Four-year college degree in Accounting or Finance

· Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal

· Extensive knowledge of Mexican Tax Laws

· Experience managing a finance/accounting team

· Team player that can work with people from across the organization

· ERP system experience, preferably SAP

· Strong Microsoft Excel and Access skills

· Strong problem solving, analytical, and negotiating skills
