We are looking for a Mechanic Maintenance Technician
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Mechanic Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have developed strong expertise in machine maintenance and production equipment repairs, and will be capable of working independently to install, maintain, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, mechanical, and electrical systems on all types of production equipment.
Candidates with experience in the packaging industry will be given priority, as this background is highly valuable in our current and upcoming projects. This position includes a wide range of duties, and while the core responsibilities are listed below, the specific tasks may vary depending on the facility or department within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and follow up on assigned equipment work orders daily.
- Complete documentation via worksheets or MRP system for tracking and filing upon job completion.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems using schematics.
- Read, monitor, edit, and modify ladder logic as needed.
- Perform scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM); visually inspect and test machinery for functionality.
- Order and requisition parts as necessary for maintenance tasks.
- Perform reactive repairs on production machinery and equipment.
- Collaborate with supervisors or other maintenance team members to diagnose and resolve machine issues.
- Install, move, and maintain pipe systems including hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Replace or repair valves, regulators, gauges, and related equipment.
- Assist with machinery installations, relocations, and general building maintenance.
- Support coworkers in diagnosing equipment malfunctions.
- Coordinate, track, and follow up on project activities.
- Ensure and uphold high standards of safety at all times, both on and off the production floor.
- Follow plant-specific job specifications and task lists.
- Conduct all activities in compliance with company safety policies and required PPE standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Work assigned shifts, including overtime and after-hours meetings as necessary.
- Perform other duties as directed or assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience in similar position
- Hands-on experience with the repair valves, pressure regulators and gauges.
- Proficient in using MRP Systems or maintenance management sofware.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment such as compressors, motors, pumps and furnaces.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work differents shifts and overtime.
