Descripción
Under minimal supervision, evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering practices and technology principles and/or techniques to resolve technical issues for assigned product family and across multiple products. Ensures results meet or exceed product requirements and meets delivery goals and timelines. Responsible for providing technical support and expected to share product knowledge with Process Engineers, Engineering Technicians and lesser experienced engineers. Must be able to provide support on existing products and learn new processes and products quickly. Member of the New Product Development Team, a critical part of the PDP process and plays a vital role in our HPWTs (High Performance Work Teams). Comply with the guidelines and regulations of Environmental Health & Safety.

RESPONSABILITIES:
Role model safety and ethical behavior as described in Johnson Control's policies, procedures and Leadership Expectation Model. Provide guidance and share product expertise with less experienced engineers and engineering technicians. Monitor Engineering Tech's Day to day activities and ensure tasks are carried through to completion.
Develops, designs, and implements plans, processes, systems and procedures utilizing standard engineering or technology principles. Lead major projects / system independently on smaller projects/ systems. Use judgment in making adaptations or modifications to test equipment and processes with the assistance of equipment and Process Engineers.
Monitors the performance of production cells, test systems or operations for assigned product family. Analyzes data and recommend changes to improve production cell yield, product reliability and manufacturing / assembly cell efficiency. Assist Process Engineering with implementing long-range improvement plans and error proofing systems.
Solves problems related to products design, test systems or procedures and or assembly and manufacturing operations. Provide technical assistance across multiple departments and products as needed. Act as liaison between manufacturing facility and Design Engineering, channel design improvement feedback to Design team for consideration in future designs and corrective actions to design issues.
Conducts investigative projects. May occasionally be asked to direct staff in investigative applications. Ensures tasks / projects are completed within budgetary and time constraints while meeting customer commitments and contractual demands.
In conjunction with other team members, performs tradeoff between implementation, schedule, cost and resource constraints, and recommend alternatives. Provide technical feedback, input and consultation within the team and other departments involved in product design, product assembly process or product test procedures and RMA evaluations.
Work with teammates by preparing and/or reviewing product documentation, product specifications and drawings, written instructions or technical literature design.
Resolve regulatory agency variances and file updates.
Solicit and translate user requirements into logical models and appropriate system, perform other duties as assigned.
Participate and lead cost saving projects and carry through to completion. This includes but not limited to financial forms and project justification, thorough component life testing and validation, complete PTR (Product Test Report) and ensure said component will not compromise the quality or reliability of our products.

Implement and maintain security policy, health and environment at work.
To support the committees in identifying risks and environmental aspects.
Follow-up and review procedures and instructions OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001
Intervene personally identify and correct unsafe acts and recognize safe behavior
Identify and report potential environmental impacts
Analyze and prevent the consequences of all actions before any activity
Contribute to compliance (as applicable) objectives and targets for safety, health and environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or minimum three years' experience in manufacturing engineering field.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment; ability to work collaboratively with team members and with internal and external customers towards issue resolution.
Capacity to take lead and ownership of situations when production issues surface. Must exhibit strong written and oral communications skills, English and Spanish, flexibility and adaptability to changing environment.
Ability to perform abstraction, modeling, and theoretical reasoning in the support, creation, and design of complex systems.
