L'Oréal seeks a highly motivated and experienced Technical Lead to join our Platform Excellence team. This critical role will provide technical leadership and oversight across a diverse ecosystem encompassing key business functions, including Direct-to-Consumer (D2C), Business-to-Business (B2B) Commerce, Data-Driven Marketing, Privacy, Consumer Care, Order Management System (OMS), Retail Point of Sale (POS), eMarketing sites, and Commercial Sales. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of complex, interconnected systems, a passion for ensuring their seamless operation, and a proven ability to drive technical excellence within a fast-paced environment. This individual will act as a technical expert, guiding project integrations, advocating for DevOps best practices, leveraging their ITSM expertise, and collaborating effectively with various stakeholders to maintain the health and stability of our application landscape.
Objectives:
Ecosystem Mastery: Develop an in-depth understanding of the technical architecture and dependencies across all supported platforms, including data flow, system integrations, infrastructure components, and key performance indicators.
Project Integration Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight for all projects impacting the supported ecosystem. Review proposed architectures, identify potential risks, and challenges, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems, championing best practices for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
Technical Guidance and Mentorship: Lead technical discussions, troubleshooting sessions, and problem-solving initiatives related to incidents, performance issues, and system enhancements. Provide clear, concise technical direction, serve as a mentor and escalation point for complex technical challenges, and foster a collaborative knowledge-sharing environment.
DevOps Advancement: Champion a DevOps mindset and drive the adoption of DevOps practices, promoting automation, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), and infrastructure-as-code principles. Collaborate with DevOps engineers to optimize deployment pipelines and improve system reliability.
Proactive System Health Management: Implement and refine monitoring strategies, leveraging ELK and other observability tools, to ensure the health and stability of supported applications. Proactively identify potential issues, develop mitigation plans, and collaborate with infrastructure teams to address performance bottlenecks.
Effective Communication and Collaboration: Clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Build strong relationships with stakeholders across different business functions. Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
Responsibilities:
Analyze system performance data to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
Develop and maintain technical documentation related to system architecture, integrations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Participate in incident response and problem management activities.
Provide technical training and mentorship to other team members.
Stay up to date on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Collaborate with vendors and partners to resolve technical issues and implement new solutions.
Contribute to the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in a technical leadership role supporting complex, interconnected systems.
Strong understanding of system architecture, integration patterns, and data modeling.
Proven experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, containerization).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
Experience with ITSM processes and tools.
Proficiency with ELK stack and other observability tools.
Experience with Azure PaaS, SAP, Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Databricks, Sitecore, GK POS, and/or Cegid POS is a plus.
Experience in the cosmetics or retail industry is a plus.
