Position Summary:
The Sr. AME Test Engineer is responsible of leading the different test development activities and provide test solutions for production testing. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in manufacturing test, test HW&SW deployment, and provide support for both the development and the manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have overall responsibility for the coordination of operational test process improvements. This involves performing analysis of the overall test system (yield, stability, cycle time, etc..), identifying a solution and working with functional teams to drive for improvement.
Job Responsibilities:
Work with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) test development team and product development teams to identify and document product test requirements.
Provide technical expertise & support to engineering and production teams.
Lead complex test projects and meet customer deliverable timing.
Analyze customer/internal requirements and specifications and translates these into test development specifications.
Develop test applications based on test specifications and customer requirements.
Analyze existing test packages to debug issues, add features or make modifications in test applications.
Develops and/or monitors development of test equipment design and test fixtures design to insure accuracy and standardization in product testing.
Work with test vendors to ensure RFQ package requirements are met and provide the necessary support to meet time line.
Another activities assigned by Sr. Manager AME Test Engineer, Principal Engineer or Manager AME Test Engineering.
Basic Qualifications:
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field (MS preferred)
Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive industry - manufacturing test, test HW&SW deployment, and providing support for both the development and the manufacturing team
Knowledge in LabView/TestStand/Process Model test development platform
Ability to read electrical schematics and debug analog and digital hardware
Able to use oscilloscope, logic analyzer and miscellaneous measurement instruments for test development and trouble shooting
Knowledge of vehicle networks (CAN, MOST, UART, Ethernet AVB, LIN etc)

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of programming languages and script development tools (debuggers, emulators, compilers, etc.), such as C/C++ and Lua is preferred.

Eligibility Requirements:
Willingness to travel 30% of the time.
Willingness to work in an office in Queretaro, MX.
