What You Will Do

• Supporting strategic goals for the Test Team by providing technical support to the domain test leads and engineers
• Develop a deep understanding of our system and help build out thorough test plans
• Mentor the team to develop technical competency & continuously adapt to new technologies.
• Analyze technical requirements, form testing strategies, and create detailed test cases and procedures.
• Lead initiatives as a member of the Test Engineering team - to improve testing process, investigate and qualify tools, develop techniques to benefit future projects.
• Work effectively with developers, management and team members to clarify needs and testing requirements of major product changes, future versions and new products.
• Coordinate software test activities like ticket triaging, CR estimations, test result review with domain test leads and project test leads on a daily basis.
• Understand field issues and continuously improve test coverage and test scope
• Use Agile methodologies and techniques to prioritize and distribute workloads
• Quickly ramp up with relevant domain and technology knowledge as required for each project
• Drive bug prioritization and work cross-functionally with Development, Test, and CPM teams globally.
• Provide responsive support to escalated customer issues
• Contribute to the development of our test automation frameworks and systems Lead the design and contribute to building up the platform automation test suite
• Assist with interviewing candidates and help make hiring decisions

What You Need

• 10+ years of experience in a Software Quality/ SW Engineering in Test position
• Excellent knowledge on Infotainment system & vehicle functionalities
• BS degree or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
• Ability to work with across different time zones with global test leads
• Demonstrated experience designing software-testing strategies with global cross-functional teams.
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders and executives
• Experience in IBM tools(RQM, RTC), JIRA, Confluence
• Knowledge on testing methodologies
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
• Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Highly motivated, positive attitude, team player and goal orientated
