As a Sr. COLOR SPECIALIST, you will ensure that the products released meet the color specifications according to the requirements established with the customer: color master, tolerances and specifications; under the standards of safety, cost and time.

You will report to Sr. Process Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform color adjustments of materials in production process optimizing time and resources.

• Align with internal color evaluation processes in strict agreement to established procedures and specifications.

• Help develop new colors together with Technical Laboratory, and the timely follow-up to new color launches, until final customer approval.

• Elaboration and fulfillment of verification, calibration, maintenance and R & R study programs for the area's equipment.

• Visit customer's lines to conduct shade audits and agreements regarding color trends of materials.

• Analyze first production batches manufactured with new formulations and reformulations through data analysis.

• Identify actual and potential causes of product and process failure through the use of statistical tools to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of plant processes.

• Promote new technologies for color evaluation, looking for improvement and optimization of color adjustments.

Qualifications

• Industrial Chemical Engineer, Chemical Engineer.

• + 2 years of experience formulation, pigment properties and color matching of paints.

• Knowledge of the interaction of the paint application process with color behavior.

• Experience with color measurement equipment (X-Rite, Byk Mac), color interpretation and color reading, pigment and aluminum handling.

• Data analysis.

• Intermediate English.
