This is a Senior Software developer position for 4G/5G projects that will involve the following :
OTALAD-CGBU
Main Responsibilities:
Establish, monitor and maintain automated testing. SDET's primary role is to write software that runs tests on existing programs. Tasks include the design and implementation of test plan and test cases, coding automated tests and checking to ensure the tests are correct and efficient.
Identify and troubleshoot issues with the automated tests. Being able to correct any errors to improve the test's performance.
Improve existing testing automation or design more efficient testing. Design tests that are faster or more comprehensive relative to existing tests.
Understand the needs of a product to advise on and design testing strategies. Understand and expect why and how the test they design is necessary.
Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in the following areas are required:
4 to 6+ years of experience in developing/ maintaining Automated frameworks Using Python or another scripting language.
Experience in Cloud native technologies (microservices)
Experience using Agile development process
Experience using Kubernetes and Docker-based framework
Experience with networking protocol or networking software development.
Ability and exposure to work directly from specifications like IETF RFCs and 3GPPP TSs.
Multi-threaded and Multi-processor Application Design on Linux platform
Experience developing highly concurrent/high throughput software
Experience developing highly available/redundant software
Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities.
Experience in deploying software in a large telecom environment.
Experience with standard development tools is required.
Knowledge of software development methodology, build tools and product life cycle.
Excellent team skills, can-do attitude, focus on quality and drive to make a difference in a dynamic, fast-paced organization.
Nice to have:
Object-Oriented Analysis, Design and Development using Java/J2EE
Knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following is preferred:
Network Programming, TCP/IP, SCTP/IP, IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and LTE
Network Performance Monitoring
Ability to work with geographically dispersed teams
Experience on telecom technologies (2G, 3G, 4G/LTE, 5G)
Working experience in the following technologies are preferred: Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, XML, REST, SOAP, Weblogic, Oracle DB, MySQL DB, Perl Scripts, Linux, Bash scripting, RPMs, Web Services, Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, IoT, Cloud, NFV
Job Requirements:
BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
A minimum of 4+ years of software development experience.
