What does a great Senior Software Developer Engineer do?

• Candidate should possess excellent competency on Java, Advance Java, J2EE
• Web services development experience
• Candidate should be hands-on in designing, testing, maintaining REST, SOAP based services.
• Experience with UNIX/LINUX server operating systems
• Expertise with JUNIT
• Experience with Linux BASH scripting
• Integration experience with enterprise level systems
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, DB2
• Experience working with containers (docker, Kubernetes and Open Shift deployments
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, maintain and improve existing software.
• Current with enterprise security practices
• Candidate should be able to understand the requirements & convert it to technical solution.
• Candidate should be able to document and diagram solutions.
• Candidate should have familiarity with advanced monitoring strategies.
• Candidate should have experience working with GIT, ANT, Apache Maven, Jenkins based build & release process.
• Candidate should have knowledge of Agile based project delivery.

About the Team

Global Technology Services function is responsible for ensuring security, quality, scalability and resiliency of all production services; architecting, planning, building and operating of the platform, supporting IT infrastructure and Enterprise Corporate Services across Travelport worldwide.
