Overview

We are looking for a versatile Data Engineer with hands-on experience in building data pipelines, automating reporting tasks, and developing user-facing visual interfaces. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Python and its data-centric libraries, familiar with Azure DevOps pipelines, and capable of building intuitive interfaces using Gradio.

Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Python and Azure DevOps (ADO)
• Automate generation of reports, Excel workbooks, and PowerPoint slides using openpyxl and python-pptx
• Build interactive data interfaces using Gradio for internal stakeholders
• Construct clear, actionable data visualizations using matplotlib and geospatial data via shapefile processing
• Collaborate with analytics teams to support data-driven decision-making
• Manage code and CI/CD workflows using VS Code and Azure DevOps pipelines

Qualifications

Required Skills:
• Strong proficiency in Python with practical experience using: pandas for data manipulation
• openpyxl and python-pptx for Excel/PowerPoint automation
• matplotlib for data visualization
• pyshp or equivalent for shapefile/geospatial data processing
• Experience with Gradio to build input/output-driven visual apps
• Familiarity with VS Code and Git-based CI/CD using Azure DevOps
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles and analytics workflows

Nice to Have:
• Experience with Plotly, Dash, or other Python-based UI frameworks
• Background in spatial analytics or GIS tools
• Exposure to cloud data storage (e.g., Azure Data Lake etc)
