Job Summary

Perficient is currently looking to add a dynamic and talented Senior Adobe Commerce (Magento) Developer to our Development Team. Ideal candidates will have +3 years developing and implementing Adobe Magento eCommerce over multiple projects also analysis, technical design, development and testing.

What do you need to come aboard?

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience with PHP-5, PHP-7, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Prototype, XML, Web-Services/WCF, Web API Restful services.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Commerce development, including customization, module creation, theme development, and integration with third-party systems.
• Proficiency in PHP and Magento programming language.
• Understanding of the Magento architecture, including the directory structure, module hierarchy, and the different components that make up a Magento application.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is necessary for developing and customizing Adobe Commerce themes.

• Solid understanding of database concepts and experience working with MySQL, which is the database management system used by Adobe Commerce.
• Familiarity with XML and web services (REST, SOAP) is important for integrating Adobe Commerce with external systems, such as payment gateways, shipping providers, and ERP systems.
• Experience with unit testing, functional testing, and quality assurance processes to ensure the stability and reliability of Adobe Commerce websites.

To Rock This Role, You Should

• Passionate coder with 2-5 years of PHP and/or Adobe Commerce software application development experience.
• Understanding of the Magento architecture, including the directory structure, module hierarchy, and the different components that make up a Magento application.
• Debugging and Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot issues efficiently, including understanding error logs, analyzing stack traces, and identifying root causes of issues
• Knowledge of techniques to optimize the performance of Adobe Commerce websites, including caching strategies, database query optimization, and frontend optimization techniques like lazy loading and minification.

• Understanding of e-commerce security best practices, including secure coding practices, vulnerability scanning, and implementing security measures such as SSL certificates and secure payment gateways.
• Proactiveness, ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement skills
• Full life-cycle development experience - with Agile/Scrum project approach
• Knowledge of version control systems, web development experience
• Experience with estimating and project planning preferred.

• Solid foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
