Embedded Software Engineer
Job Description:

As an Embedded Software Engineer at Arrow Electronics, you will be developing embedded firmware & software that will be leveraged by Arrow's customers to enable their end-products and speed-up time to market. Projects may consist of small modifications to existing code up to projects requiring ground-up firmware development driven by formal statements of work.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Has a strong understanding of embedded firmware design and the various technologies that make up electronic products, and how they inter-relate.
• Develop firmware targeting microcontrollers and/or embedded microprocessors from a range of different semiconductor suppliers.
• Develop firmware to enable proof-of-concepts and customer demos.
• Add functionality to supplier-provided firmware/drivers to meet customer's needs.
• Work with Arrow's team of Field Application Engineers (FAE's) and end-customers to understand our customer's needs and propose potential solutions.
• Assist in the creation of Statements of Work for firmware & software projects.
• Partner with the sales team across pre-and post-sales activities, providing technical support and consulting to promote demand creation.
• Create and modify firmware drivers to enable functionality for additional electronic components and devices.
• Manage supplier and customer expectations by building and developing relationships, keeping stakeholders up-to-date on activities, plans, and progressing towards initiatives. Identify key relationships amongst decision makers within suppliers and customers.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or related degree.
• 3-5 years of embedded software development experience (e.g. C / C++ , working with MCU's / MPU's)
• Experience with Embedded Linux, device tree and driver development is a plus.
• Experience with FreeRTOS or other RTOS's running on MCU's.
• Familiarity with popular source code management tools (i.e. GIT, Subversion, etc..)
• Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish

Work Arrangement:

• Hybrid: 3 days in office/2 days work from home

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:

$36,833.33 - $55,000.00 MXN Monthly

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
