Our client is looking a Scrum Master to join their team. This individual will be responsible for realizing the full potential of Scrum by facilitating meetings including all the Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and resolving conflicts. The individual will lead the delivery process of internal and outsourced projects that are aligned with the business objectives from project initiation to transition to operations.

• Lead the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices
• Helping the product owner and development team to achieve customer satisfaction
• Lead the scrum and development teams in self-organization
• Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments
• Help the scrum and development teams to identify and fill in blanks in the Agile framework
• Resolve conflicts and issues that occur
• Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
• Support the product owner and provide education where needed
• Support the need for effective knowledge management at the product team level
• Help develop and execute strategies to effectively onboard new product team members
• Own the methodology and quality of progress reporting to support Program-level outcomes.
• Tracks and reports on team velocity/productivity
• Coordinates with other scrum teams to identify and align on cross-team dependencies
• Drives forward with a dual focus on achieving balance between delivery and quality

Basic Qualifications:

• Prior experience on a scrum team for design and implementation of applications
• Experience in agile ways of organization beyond Scrum such as Kanban
• Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict
• Knowledgeable in techniques to fill in gaps in the scrum
• Ability to determine what is scrum and what is not
• Experience with successful Agile techniques
• Ability to work with and lead a team
• Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment
• Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction
• Demonstrable experience of asset and knowledge discovery supporting the creation of knowledge articles.
• Demonstrable experience in working with product owners to identify, deliver and prioritize activities required to build the product backlog.
• Demonstrable experience of working with varied scrum teams at a mix of virtual and physical locations to deliver against the scrum sprints.
• Demonstrable experience of hosting and planning regular stand-ups as well as sprint planning.
• Demonstrable experience of running and presenting retrospectives both physically and remotely.
• Significant experience in complex solutions for large government organizations using a diverse engineering and technology team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to collaborate other stakeholders at difference sites.
