Nidec Aerospace is seeking a qualified MES Engineer whose responsibility will be developing implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in one of our electrical motors manufacturing plants, developing systems and intelligence for real-time data collection, process automation, and system integration to enhance production efficiency, traceability, and compliance with aerospace industry standards.

Nidec Aerospace is seeking a qualified MES Engineer whose responsibility will be developing implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in one of our electrical motors manufacturing plants, developing systems and intelligence for real-time data collection, process automation, and system integration to enhance production efficiency, traceability, and compliance with aerospace industry standards.
The individual is responsible for:
- Implement and configure MES solutions to support aerospace motor manufacturing operations.
- Integrate MES with PLC, SCADA, ERP, and IoT systems for seamless data flow and process automation.
- Develop custom scripts (SQL, Python, C#) to automate data collection, reporting, and analytics.
- Ensure real-time tracking of aerospace motor components to meet strict quality and traceability requirements (AS9100, FAA, EASA standards).
- Troubleshoot MES-related issues to minimize downtime and improve production efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and production teams to enhance manufacturing workflows and digitalization efforts.
- Support Industry 4.0 initiatives, including predictive maintenance, digital twins, and smart factory technologies.
- Maintain documentation for MES configurations, troubleshooting guides, and system upgrades.
- Train manufacturing personnel on MES usage, best practices, and compliance protocols.
- Development of desktop and web applications using C#, ASP.NET, and JavaScript.
- Design and maintenance of databases in MS SQL Server, including the implementation of stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Configuration and management of jobs in SQL Server to automate database maintenance and administration tasks.
- Implementation of communication with peripherals using protocols such as Serial, Modbus, TCP-IP, and Ethernet IP.
- Developing and consuming REST APIs for system and service integration.
Technical Attributes and Experience
- Experience with AI platforms to optimize operations, make data-driven decisions, reduce costs and automate routine tasks.
- Experience with MES platforms (Siemens SIMATIC IT, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Dassault DELMIA, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases, Python, C#, or Java for MES customization and automation.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (OPC, MQTT, Modbus, etc.).
- Experience integrating MES with ERP (SAP, Oracle) and manufacturing automation systems.
- Understanding of aerospace manufacturing standards (AS9100, NADCAP, FAA, EASA compliance).
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
- Minimum +3 years of proven experience in a similar role position. Preferably specialized in electric motor manufacturing, automotive or aerospace applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support high-precision aerospace and motor production.
