Objective

This position is primarily responsible for supporting the Manufacturing/Distribution accounting and profitability reporting. Works closely with Operations and Engineering teams to ensure costs are calculated and booked properly. Analyzes business opportunities and creates CARs & ROI to review with Senior Leadership. Owns labor and overhead costs for numerous independent legal entities. In addition, this position will support all costing for large projects and set up of new parts. Also, will work with supply chain and logistics to analyze both inbound and outbound freight.

Responsibilities

• Working with BUs, help create & own all standard costing activities
• Prepare monthly reporting and KPI's for Manufacturing operations and project profitability
• Own capital project requests for all Manufacturing activities. CAR and ROI creation, spending analysis, quarterly forecasts, and annual budget
• Manage month end close processes for manufacturing production orders
• Manage weekly forecast data
• Perform monthly Profitability analysis
• Participate in quarterly forecasts by creating forecasts for freight, overhead, and labor absorption
• Prepare account reconciliations and do analysis on balance sheet accounts for deferred revenue, deferred costs, and all inventory adjustments
• Manage external audit requests quarterly and at year end
• Work closely with manufacturing and project management to ensure projects are properly recorded in the P/L
• Support Accounting department with process and procedure documentation for internal controls
• Initiate and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Effectively interact with key business unit and corporate personnel to report findings
• Provide special project support as requested
• Keep management apprised of significant global issues (FX, Tariff impacts, etc.)

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance realted areas

Experience

• 5-8 years manufacturing accounting experience
• Knowledge of ERP systems. IFS is a plus
• Advanced Excel skills
