Role Summary:
Following the ambition for Tequila Category, The Process Engineer will play a pivotal role within the planning team to create capacity to support Tequila's exponential growth, driving a continuous improvement agenda, loss elimination, performance optimization, and efficiency increases across the organization's planning and operational processes. The role is focused on leveraging knowledge in planning and supply chain systems (MPS, MRP, DRP, business planning, and forecasting) to enhance process flows, improve capacity utilization, and eliminate inefficiencies. By working closely with multi-functional teams, the Process Engineer will support strategic objectives to improve performance, meet business goals, and ensure the right strategy to improve service and cash, while reducing stocks and costs, unlocking tequila Growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
- Lead and support continuous improvement projects within the planning and production processes.
- Find opportunities for process optimization and drive implementation using Lean, Six Sigma, P-D-C-A, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Ensure consistent review of key performance indicators (critical metrics) to identify areas of improvement.
- Develop and drive action plans for reducing waste, improving throughput, and reducing cycle times in planning processes.
- Loss Elimination & Process Efficiency:
- Work with the team to eliminate losses in materials, labor, and other operational resources.
- Analyze and assess process bottlenecks, and develop solutions to eliminate them, driving higher productivity.
- Evaluate existing planning strategies (MPS, MRP, DRP) for inefficiencies, offering recommendations and implementing corrective actions.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
- Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to supervise daily, weekly, and monthly performance against set targets.
- Design and implement systems for real-time data collection, feedback loops, and ongoing performance evaluations.
- Analyze production schedules, demand forecasts, and supply chain data to recommend improvements in planning and forecasting processes.
- multi-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with teams such as manufacturing, procurement, quality, and logistics to ensure alignment on planning strategies and process improvements.
- Communicate effectively across departments to maintain clear visibility of progress, key challenges, and successes in the continuous improvement journey.
- Support the planning team in aligning production capabilities with forecasted demand to optimize resource usage and minimize delays.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Collect and analyze performance data and metrics related to production planning and supply chain operations.
- Use data analysis tools to provide actionable insights, recommend adjustments, and forecast potential disruptions.
- Develop and automate reporting tools to monitor continuous improvement metrics (e.g., cycle time, efficiency, resource utilization, on-time deliveries).
- Training & Knowledge Sharing:
- Support the training and development of team members on continuous improvement techniques and tools.
- Drive a culture of innovation, accountability, and data-driven decision-making within the planning team.
- Educate employees on standard methodologies for process optimization and loss reduction techniques.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, PDCA, APICS) and/ or Project Management, Agile methodologies are preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Planning Excellence or in a equivalent role in Planning organization, with a strong focus on continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and performance optimization.
- Proven experience in working with MPS (Master Production Scheduling), MRP (Material Requirements Planning), DRP (Distribution Requirements Planning), and business planning/forecasting processes.
- Familiarity with supply chain systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, OMP, or similar), and data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.).
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of Agile, Design Thinking, Lean, Six Sigma, VSM and other Project Management and Continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in process mapping, root cause analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to analyze sophisticated data sets and make data-driven recommendations.
- Familiarity with production planning and scheduling systems.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Data visualization (Power BI)
- English and Spanish sophisticated skills
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with multi-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
