Job Description

The Sr Quality manager in projects, is the responsible to ensure the Quality during product development, production launch and design changes during mass production phase.

Sr. QMP is a central key member acting as support to Project Management with the effective planning, implementation, execution and control of quality activities for assigned projects; ensuring that internal and external Quality topics are adequately addressed in the project organization. Ensures that project accomplish with the Quality required and safety characteristics are identified accordingly.

Main responsibilities:

• Evaluate and estimate quality costs and investments together with other departments (Quality support, technical services, warranty center, etc...)
• Identification of Quality risks during product design
• Review and evaluate the Quality Customer Requirements
• Communicate the essential elements to all responsible departments and lead actively the concepts to implement quality improvements.
• Define and track the Quality Objectives (0km, warranties, Launch KPIs, etc..)
• Develop, apply and keep the Quality concept and test (Control Plan, PFMEA, traceability, etc..) to achieve the quality objectives defined.
• Document, record and translate the relevant quality experiences from current to new projects (Lesson learned, products history, etc..)
• Support on defining test flow and all types of all necessary environmental and EMC tests in together with VMP and design responsible (DV-PV).
• Report results to customer specific database (portals) or prepare presentations regarding the quality issues of the product (development and production process).

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Industrial, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering or related.
• 5 years experience in Automotive Industry or Electronic.
• 3 years as QMP (Quality management in project) or a comparable roll in other area related to project management (PM, TPL, PQE, etc..) or other quality areas (SQM,AQL,QMPP, etc.)
• 3 years experience with direct communication with Customer.

Knowledge:

• Customer experience launching products with Nissan, Ford, GM, Toyota
• Core tools (SPC, PPAP, AMEF, Control Plan, MSA)
• APQP
• Problem Solving
• Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262), DFMEA
• ISO 16232
• IATF 16949
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; English proficiency
