As a Sr Spec, IT Vendor Management Operations,

What you'll be doing

Day to day operations

• Cloud Cost Optimization
• Cloud Cost Dispersion
• Manage and provide oversight on purchase order and invoice administration activities
• Monitor results against goals via account dashboard.
• Verifying spend analysis, market insights, SLAs, and total cost of ownership
• Managing supplier pay terms in adherence to contract.
• Resolve disputes and manage escalations
• Monitor supplier risk and assist in resolution.
• As the point of contact between a business and its vendors, your duties include coordinating vendor payments, maintaining effective communication, and managing budget cash flow.
• Time Management - Ability to meet deadlines.

Vendor Engagement

• Drive change, compliance, and continuous improvement in the procurement
• Coordinate with various cross-functional departments to educate and communicate expectations, performance and procedures to vendors.
• Optimize vendor relationships by containing cost, managing negotiations, driving operational efficiency, and maintaining high service standards.
• Communicating with the vendors and performing the quality check, dealing with the price and improvements. Establishing standards and analyzing based on them.

Vendor Optimization

• Benchmark and monitor market conditions as it pertains to services in-scope
• Gather due diligence data from market data vendors
• Implement and manage vendor governance framework and supplier review processes
• Generate and prepare scorecard reports from the information submitted by external vendors
• Assist in monitoring internal/external environments to identify business opportunities and anticipate changes that will impact the business
• Research, analyze and evaluate vendors and recommend new vendor purchases
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are accomplished, both internally and externally
• Jointly developing and implementing category strategies to drive direction and results.
• Analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to measure vendor performance

Documentation, Audit and Compliance

• Support of audit and compliance reviews
• Responsible for managing IT documentation to corporate vendor management process
• Conduct regular vendor risk reviews, maintain current contract artifacts, and obtain applicable approval for any exceptions to the vendor management policy
• Serve as primary point of contact for vendor management related questions and issues

What you'll bring
• Bachelor's degree or above in Information Technology, Operations Management, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Demonstrated experience within an IT Management role, or an Operations Management role with a strong education in IT
• Strong vendor management experience
• Strong understanding of networks, their operation, security, and cloud-based computing
• Excellent leadership abilities and ability to work with a diverse multicultural team
• Effective delegation skills, and project management abilities
• Clear and concise communication skills both written and verbal
• Adept with problem-solving, able to break down root causes of problems
• Effectively works under the pressure and to agreed deadlines and targets
• 5+ years of experience in Life Science / Pharma industry working engineering systems in validated environment is nice to have
• Practical experience computer systems validation and SDLC
• Excellent verbal and written communication, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking ability
• Sense of urgency with strong follow-up skills, ability to multi-task and balance multiple priorities, attention to detail and strong organization skills are essential
• Familiarity working across multiple business domains in support of projects
• Ability to interact with business users, project managers, senior management, outsourced service providers, and vendors
• Self-starter, independent thinker, able to work with minimum direction, high level of initiative and energy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (MS Word, Excel, and Power Point)
