Your Role and Responsibilities
This position is for a candidate with strong technical skills and attention to detail to join our Storage Open Source compliance and licensing team as an Open Source reviewer. It involves support for IBM Storage and Software Defined products in development, preparing Open Source use proposals, due diligence reviews, and code scan analysis for legal review/approval, in order to meet product release schedules. The Storage Open Source team additionally creates outbound end user license agreements that ship with the storage offerings

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Programming experience required with familiarly of scripting languages such as Python, Perl or similar and use of CPAN and RestAPIs.
• Familiar with Software development process
• Willing to learn new technologies to review development software for presence of open source as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with program managers, IBM attorneys and IBM suppliers to obtain open source approvals on schedule.
• Advanced English Level.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Familiarity with Open Source software and Cyber Security best practices are highly desirable.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, Java, Perl, Linux, Python, Kubernetes, Docker, tool chains and software build environments
• Open Source licensing and Software Copyright practices are desirable.
• 2-3 years of experience in software development environments with some level of exposure to these preferred skills
