The Information Systems team is responsible for implementation of the enterprise architecture and the development and maintenance of the organization's computing/IT environment. Determines and develops architectural approaches and solutions, conducts business reviews, documents current systems and develops recommendations of how to proceed with the applications.
This role in summary
Whirlpool is looking to fill a Business Intelligence Manager position in our Data and Analytics department. This position has global coverage but its primary focus will be Small Domestic Appliances for our EMEA region in which Whirlpool operates. The Business Intelligence Manager a global IT role that reports to our sr Manager of Data and Analytics. The BI Analyst leverages data and analytical skills to provide valuable insights and drive strategic decision-making within an organization. It plays a crucial role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources to generate actionable intelligence that supports business objectives. The newly hired Business Intelligence Manager will define and implement innovative approaches to leverage data to drive insights and solve business problems. The role ensures that the Small Domestic Appliance entity benefits from consistent Business Intelligence methodologies and practices, enabling actionable insights, scalability, and reliability, and fostering collaboration across regions, markets, and functions. Candidates need to be motivated, self-driven, curious and creative. Employees in this role can work a hybrid schedule of three core days in office and two days remote. This enables employees to come together to collaborate in-person and gives employees the added flexibility to work remotely.
Your responsibilities will include
• Conduct in-depth data analysis using statistical techniques, data mining, and data visualization tools.
• Extract relevant insights from complex data sets, identify trends, patterns, and correlations, and present findings in clear and compelling visualizations or reports
. • Develop and maintain regular reporting mechanisms, including dashboards, charts and graphs.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, and ensure alignment between business goals and BI deliverables.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across reporting and analysis.
• Implement and maintain data governance practices, data quality controls, and data validation processes.
• Translate complex data findings into actionable insights and compelling narratives.
• Communicate analytical results and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Minimum requirements
5+ years of experience BI experience doing frontend development/Dashboards
• 5+ years of IT experience in Data Warehousing (SAP preferred)
• Experience working with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Adobe, QuickSight and Google Looker Studio.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.
• Solid understanding of business intelligence concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data findings to diverse audiences.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable analytics solutions
Preferred skills and experiences
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Familiarity with data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL processes.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, and data privacy practices.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality analytics solutions and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to explain and visualize results to engage stakeholders
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Enthusiasm for learning new tools & technologies
• Strong business acumen and ability to understand and translate business requirements.
• Effective stakeholder management and ability to communicate with business
