DY Corporation is a South Korean company founded in 1978. Throughout the years DY has become a globally competitive supplier of hydro automotive components for industrial machinery mainly focused in heavy duty. DY has been expanding around different countries such as Japan, China, India, USA and Mexico.

The site in Mexico is named DY Mechatronics. It is so far one of the biggest and most important projects held by the corporation, the reason why we are very excited to work on our new team.

Role Description

OBJECTIVE:

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, effectively managing waste, promoting energy and resource efficiency, educating and raising awareness among staff on sustainability best practices, conducting relevant audits to assess performance, and proposing innovations that improve environmental impact, thus ensuring that the company's operations are carried out in a responsible and environmentally sustainable manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develop and implement environmental management programs that promote sustainability and minimize environmental impact.
• Monitor and control the consumption of natural resources and energy in operations.
• Identify, classify and properly manage hazardous waste generated by the company.
• Coordinate the collection, transportation, treatment and final disposal of these wastes according to environmental regulations.
• Conduct internal environmental audits to evaluate compliance with environmental regulations.
• Maintain the environmental documentation and records required by the competent authorities.
• Create awareness among personnel of the importance of sustainable environmental practices.
• Coordinate educational programs and environmental awareness campaigns within the company.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Demonstrated experience in the implementation of environmental management and compliance programs.
• In-depth knowledge of local, national and international environmental regulations.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing in Spanish and ideally in English.
• Results orientation and ability to manage environmental projects effectively.

SECURITY COMPETENCIES

• Knowledge of environmental management systems, environmental aspects and impacts, as well as risks and dangers in department operations, procedures, instructions and, in general, quality documentation, safety and occupational health and environment related to the department.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Recruitment Process

Once the profile is reviewed by the HR and administration staff you will receive a call or a message from DY Mechatronics Mexico. It is a 3 step process which requires 3 different interviews. The first interview is held by phone call from the HR staff for general information and CV fact check. The second one follows up with a face to face interview in our offices with the participation of the administrative staff as well as the HR team. The last but not least interview is held with the participation of our vice-president and staff in which the final decision is made.
