MAIN OBJECTIVE.
- Assurance the compliance of: materials, products, manufacturing processes, production lines, metrology and QMS respect to specifications, regulations and established process parameters.
- Lead and generate corrective and preventive actions to nonconformities of process and product.
- Meet the goals set by the management corporate regarding quality to accomplish and satisfy the client requirements.
- Maintain and promote an environment of continuous improvement.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in the weekly safety meeting
Perform the weekly safety audit in order to detect and reduce the unsafe conditions and acts of the workplace.
Comply with the internal regulations, policies and code of conduct of Human Resources.
Establish, maintain and oversee robust quality systems including QMS documentation, internal audits & corrective/preventive actions, document/data control, material review (nonconforming material) and establishment and maintenance of quality records.
Supervise and develop Quality department staff.
Provide Quality systems direction & support to plant operations.
Support development teams in evaluating new product designs & manufacturing processes to ensure products will meet customer requirements
Create & implement supporting documentation with the manufacturing management team such as operator instructions, control plans, and process requirements.
Perform equipment and process capability studies.
Provide measurement tools and guidance for measuring manufacturing performance, such as First Pass Yield, Out-of-Box audits, In-Process Test/Inspection results, etc.
Oversee calibration, inspection and testing programs.
Prepare & provide periodic reports of Quality Metrics to Plant & Corporate Management, as required, including – warranty, scrap, first pass yield, audit results, corrective actions, supplier metrics, etc.
Establish & maintain effective customer relationships.
Investigate and respond to customer complaints.
Oversee returned goods analyses, gather and interpret data, and provide effective feedback to customers.
Drive internal corrective/preventive actions & ensure the effectiveness of the quality management system.
Maintain a current knowledge of up-to-date quality improvement tools and techniques.
Evaluate performance, quality related training needs, and provide appropriate training across the plant.
Maintain ISO certification as required; perform duties as Management Representative
Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge.
Actively engage in and motivate and inspire hands-on problem solving across disciplines.
Develop training materials and effectively deliver those materials in a team environment to ensure employees throughout the facility are trained in CI concepts and philosophy.
Incorporates company vision and values into day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to the philosophy.
Perform other duties as assigned.
