Sensata offers its customers and suppliers a comprehensive electronic data transaction solution via EDI and other structured formats (XML, EDIFACT, CSV, etc.). The EDI Team is responsible for working with customers and suppliers to setup all necessary technical and business-related requirements for a successful integration for these electronic documents.
As IT EDI Business Analyst you will have opportunity to provide support for day-to-day and new development activities for all Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)-related systems and interface points. This position will require interaction with both internal and external customers and coordination of activities with our 3rd-party providers.
General Responsibilities
• Arranges the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems
• Key participant in identifying gaps and provides technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications and scales new and current systems, processes and procedures in a cost effective manner
• Organizes the system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing to meet business requirements
• May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues
• May be client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and Outsourcing functions
Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Business ethics - Ability to practice and behave consistently and effectively in areas of business practice and conflicts of interest
• Communication - Ability to communicate effectively by getting the right message across to the right people at the right time on a regular basis
• Customer Orientation - Ability to meet customers' expectations by identifying and anticipating customers' needs and integrating these into work; ability to develop new added value for customers and act with the customer in mind
• Result orientation - Ability to take steps personally to ensure that mutual goals and performance targets are met within the appropriate timeframe
• Teamwork - Ability to work with others and work synergistically with fellow team-members
• Planning and Organizing - Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work and schedules in all areas to meet requirements
• Problem solving - Ability to reach logical conclusions to situations by appropriately analyzing the situation. Balances the benefits, risks and consequences of actions
• Time Management - Ability to assessing your ability to manage your time, and the effectiveness of your team to reach department objectives
• Conflict management - Ability to recognize and work towards a mutually agreeable solution when confronted with conflict
• Resilience - Ability to work under pressure and prioritize

Additional Responsibilities:
- Support existing EDI partners by monitoring EDI transmissions and helping resolve issues/EDI failures
- Fulfill EDI requirements following established functional and system processes
- Work with communication and mapping vendors (OpenText, Seeburger) to support system connectivity, data integrity, and business process compliance through standard implementation guides and functional specifications
- Lead EDI projects from initial design through testing, validation and implementation
- Act as Global Liaison between business teams (Customer Service, Order Management, Logistic, Finance, etc.) and 3rd Party vendors, with the ability to present technical information to a non-technical audience
- Assist cross functional business teams to develop new or modify existing solutions or reports, per individual needs to help support delivery of organizational requirements
- Serve as IT EDI subject matter expert to collaborate with operational and cross-functional teams to develop and execute operational plans, programs and technology solutions to support Sensata undertakings and acquisitions
- Coach other members of the team on EDI related processes
Personal Skills:
- Business level English and the ability to communicate effectively both oral and in written
- Good analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply technical solutions
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Open and adaptable to new responsibilities, different perspectives, ideas, and people
- Ability to successfully interact with all levels of management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with onboarding EDI trading partners is considered a strong advantage
- Experience with different EDI message formats (EDIFACT, ANSI X12, VDA, ODETTE) is considered a strong advantage
- Experience using or supporting an ERP System (Oracle preferably)
- Experience with Oracle E-commerce is considered a strong advantage
- Experience with Oracle RLM is considered a strong advantage
- Experience with Seeburger BIS tool is considered an advantage
- Experience of AS2, SFTP, OFTP/OFTP2 and VAN communications is a plus
- Ability to read and understand SQL queries is a plus
- Ability to execute basic commands in Linux terminal is a plus
