THE OPPORTUNITY:

As a Jr. Security Analyst you will perform program functions within a high-performance dynamic environment and required to adjust priorities of work based on changing operational needs and the evolving threat horizon. We are looking for a candidate within Cyber Security Operations focused on cyber security controls and analytics

Responsibilities

• Apply documented methodology to ensure consistent management of security controls to deliver maximum value and minimize business impact
• Support the delivery of security controls, metrics, and security platform services
• Develop subject matter expertise and plan / execute project work as it relates to the delivery and operations of cybersecurity controls such as endpoint detection and response, data protection, network security, cloud security, etc.
• Develop specialised knowledge and skills with a range of cybersecurity controls and a continuous improvement mindset for fine-tuning the controls to reduce risk exposure and data loss through investigation, testing, implementation, and verification
• Perform the collection and management of information security operations metrics and measures
• Produce high quality outcomes and timely service delivery
• Effectively collaborate with cyber security and risk resources
• Perform administration, testing, and remediation (including the support of RCA) of security controls
• Collaborate with business teams to effectively predict, protect, and respond to security threats

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or the equivalent combination of formal education, training, and experience
• 1+ year of work experience delivering cybersecurity operations and/or operational technology
• Experience working on a team to effectively respond to complex requests
• Strong analytical abilities, interpersonal skills, and verbal / written communication
• Working knowledge of system operations, networking, and devices
• Effectively adapts to changing events, reprioritizing efforts, and realign resources as needed to fulfil requests
• Willingness to be on-call, work non-standard hours, and travel (up to 15%) when required
• Comfortable working in high stress and ambiguous environments
• Fluent in the English language
