Job Summary

The Technical Lead role is pivotal in driving technical excellence within our hybrid work model. With a focus on IBM Mainframe Utilities CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol the candidate will leverage their extensive experience to optimize systems and processes. This position requires a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 14 years of relevant experience ensuring robust solutions that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of complex systems using IBM Mainframe Utilities ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of applications utilizing CICS VSAM JCL and DB2 contributing to seamless business operations.
• Provide technical expertise in Cobol programming enhancing application functionality and user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical challenges driving continuous improvement.
• Develop and enforce best practices for system architecture and coding standards promoting quality and efficiency.
• Mentor junior developers fostering a culture of learning and professional growth within the team.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Analyze system requirements and design solutions that meet business needs while optimizing resource utilization.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to gather feedback and implement enhancements ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.
• Utilize problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve system issues minimizing downtime and impact on operations.
• Implement security measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality safeguarding company assets.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends integrating innovative solutions into existing systems.

Qualifications

• Possess a deep understanding of IBM Mainframe Utilities and their application in business processes.
• Demonstrate proficiency in CICS VSAM JCL and DB2 with a track record of successful project delivery.
• Exhibit strong Cobol programming skills capable of developing and maintaining robust applications.
• Have excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Show experience in mentoring and guiding junior developers enhancing team capabilities.
• Display a commitment to continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies and methodologies.
